890 meters of pure pain, it was character building and soul destroying all at the same time....just when you think it can\'t get
steeper, it gets steeper, when you think it can\'t get more unrideable. it get\\\'s more unrideable....and when it\'s about as bad as
you can imagine.........it get\'s worse.:O
after going uphill for about 4 hours.we finally managed to scramble our way to the top. we parked the bikes the last 100 meters of the
accent and carried on by foot....absolutely awsome scenery all the way up...well worth the effort, 5 star day all the way...all i can
say about the decent is thank fcuk for disc brakes.
Sounds like an interesting route. Ive thought about it a couple of times just to say that Ive been there and done that

Nick,
Which path did you take up Cadair??
I bet the views were pretty good from the top at the weekend!

Hiked it a few times, wouldn't fancy biking it unless you know of a differant route. Tis a stunning view though
if its worth doing, its worth over doing.

Can't have been the Llanfihangel route - that takes less than 4 hours round trip. Bit of portage nearer the top but a cracking return
trip, fantastic views, those boulder fields near the summit are excellent.
So Nick - you and Jon up for Snowdon?

Parked at Llanfihangel and went up the farm track, turned right at cross roads (about 350m) traversed along a single track for about a
mile to another crossroads...gets steep and rocky from here on in! As Nick pointed out, some pushing and carrying at this point but
it's well worth the push for the trip back down. Left the bikes and walked the last 100m.
Views were awsome as the sky was clear, which made the trip well worth the slog. The trip back down is awsome, as spooks points out,
the loose boulder fields are a bit tricky but it's all doable. the highlight for me was the sections of rock steps..full sus on for
these sections.
Yeh , did take us a long time but over 25 degrees meant plenty of breaks on the way up.. nailed three and a half litres of water before
I hit the top...despite this...Not one to missssss

Snowdon is steeper, but the route is a bit smoother (only a lil bit mind). This is a great time of year for it - on the hill by 6AM and
back in time for a slap up breakfast in Pete's. Last summer it took me 2:25 to get to the summit, and 19 minutes to get back down to
the main road - now THERE'S a test for your brakes.
I prefer Cadair tho, and up for either next time there's a windless weekend.
And there's been a few of those recently!

Well the wind is still looking pants for the weekend, but I'll probably pitch up sat afternoon/evening for a chinwag and a couple of
scoops - with a view to a ride sun - possibly Cadair if anyone's up for it?
