contest was held so here is a photo from the contest.

why the hell are all the losers surfing 2 foot cr@p at the lifeboat station when it was going off at ynyslas?????
and where are the pics of you riding these decent waves????
it ain't impossible to pull into solid surf in 30knts+ offshore conditions....just close your eyes!

There was no one there to take any photos while I was out...
I didn't say it was impossible to pull into the waves, I managed it on my 6'6", but it wasn't easy as one false move meant the board
got blown over the top of your head! And then once on the face you couldn't see a lot thanks to the spray from the wave before. My
5'10" board just wasn't fast enough to outrun them.
It was probably a good move to hold the contest at the lifeboat station on Saturday though as it took a good 20 minutes (the length of
a heat) just to paddle out the back at Ynyslas. I didn't take on photod on the Saturday, but it was twice the size of what it was
today, just not quite as windy.

If only there were clean waves like that with a cross shore wind Northerly or Southerly; it would be awesome for windsurfing.
