Hurricane Rita

The data-centers housing the servers upon which the Forces-of-Naure website are hosted are located within Houston, Texas, which is due to be hit by hurricane Rita on Friday, and as such emergency storm plans have been implemented.

Based on discussions with the datacenters, they do not expect any problems as a result of the hurricane within the area, measures they have taken are listed below.

- 36/48hrs of fuel is on site to power diesel generators
- An additional backup generator is being installed at
- A drainage canal has been built beside the Datacenter for heavy rain fall
- Guaranteed contracts for additional fuel within 2hrs

Hopefully there won't be any problems, but it looks as though the site may well experience a 'proper' force-of-nature itself!!

Houston, Texas ? Isn't that where all the refugees from Hurricane Katrina went ? ?
