Gower Trip Report

The first ever Forces-of-Nature Trip went well....

Anna and I arrived at Llangenith at around 6.30pm on Friday and I managd a quick hours surf in 3ft waves with the sun setting.

We met Steve and Ken in the pub later that evening. Then on Saturday we met Joe and Dunja and their two children and went surfing twice in 2-3 foot surf. Whilst not surfing we just hung around the beach in the sunshine and had a bit of a BBQ. Steve and Ken went home on Saturday afternoon, but we met James, Dez, Juan and Sarah in the pub in the evening. On Sunday we again went surfing again twice. First in 3-4 foot surf and then in slightly smaller surf in the afternoon. We also had a quick kite-flying session on the beach.

Despite the lack of wind for the windsurfers, there was plenty of surf for everyone else and a good time was had by all.

I'll put a full report in the diary when I get some time tomorrow. (It's done).

Come on then, what did everyone else think of it?? Is the report I've written in the diary pretty much accurate..or did I miss something out??

Thats pretty accurate I reckon, it was a superb weekend. Des didn't bother with the board but did go back for one more last look before we left. Can't wait for the next trip! I think we'll make it out to the coast again in the next couple of weeks.
Oh I wasn't scared just tired, cough cough!

James...we'll arrange another trip when we get back from the IOM... Possibly November 8th, 9th & 10th. I'll have to confirm it with Anna and the cat first though. Probably Pembrokeshire this time.

Of course, if you fancy a trip to Borth then just let us know. The surf isn't so consistent here though.

The trip was amazing the best waves i have exeperienced to date, even though yes we have only surfed the IOM....the first of many great surf trips i predict!

didnt buy the green board...but there is a new board on the way i hope!

i will post some of the photos as soon as i get the film developed!

Des...
Let me know when you've got the photos processed...post some here, and if there are any good ones I can upload them to the website too.

Did any of the video footage come out OK??..I'd like to see some of that as well.

Des...Does that mean you've actually ordered a new board?? (What have you ordered?)

..Or just that you intend to get one soon.

Adam has one for sale that would suit you (or at least he did)...but it might be a little too expensive for you... We'll try to get him to come on the next trip and bring it with him for you to see.

Yeah i think i have seen adams board...is it the purple 6' 10"?..it looks cool but i dont think i like all the decking on it!....i havent ordered anything i am just looking..am hoping to get to a second hand surf shop in birmingham or somwhere!

I still havent got the photos developed as there are still 14 photos to take on the film so i was going to wait until the next trip to finish them off and then yeah i will forward any goodies on to you..which i am sure there will be!

Anymore reccomendation on any boards though will be much appreciated..have fun in the IOM...doubt you will get much surf there though!...did jammy tell you about our secret spot...ROCKY!!!!

Des,
Don't know if I can make the Gower that weekend, but I'll be here in Aber, so if you fancy a trip here instead then fell free.

The surf isn't as consistent here, but it can be good and its closer for you to get here, and get back to Liverpool for the ferry to the IOM..

What do you reckon??
