Late Again
well it was howling all day here, so as I arrived at Stithians after work, I discovered that people were packing away 5m rigs and
rigging 7m sails <dooh>
still chucked a 5.4 on my naish wave and had some good blasts in the gusts
one day it'll stay windy when I arrive at the beach..........

By the sound of it I'm glad you can't make it to the forthcoming F-o-N Gower Trip, you'd only be a jinx.... Who knows, you may even
chase the wind away from Ireland and it'll arrive in the Gower just for us!!
However, Steve is coming to the Gower, and he REALLY is a wind jinx. Before now, we have all stood on the beach all day waiting for
wind (as you do). And then, just as Steve started to go home things started to happen. As he got in his car the 1-2 knots of wind
suddenly picked up to about 8 knots, then literally as he drove across the car park it continued to increase and started to get to big
kit strengths (12-15 knots) and as he drove out of the gate, that was it, whitewater everywhere and a decent 15-18 knot wind. We'd said
it would happen as soon as Steve left, but none of us quite expected that.
I did do the 'right' thing though and phoned his mobile in time for him to turn around and come back for a sail, but if it had dropped
again as he arrived back I think we would have banned him from the beach for life.
