Woooohooo...What a day!

I've just got back and I'm stoked!!!

I got to the beach at around 11.30am and found Ben already out on a 4.7m and Darren rigging a 5.7m. I went out with my Hifly, a 20cm fin and my 4.5m which turned out to be perfect. Darren soon changed down, and Derek came out a little later. We all had an excellent sail in the cross-shore (southerly) winds with some pretty meaty swells out the back which led to some pretty big jumps. The wind gradually swung around as forecast and as it went SW the wave riding became a little better, and the swell pciked up. It then swung Westerly (dead onshore), but was still OK . Although, by now I'd been out for about 5 hours so it wasn't long before I packed up and went home. Darren was still out on the water when I left!!

An excellent day in 4.5m conditions

Did anyone else get out and enjoy the wind??

Al.
