Sail quiver for a person 60kg
I have been chating with some one from the neilpryde web site
he recomends a sail quiver of 5.1, 6.1 and
6.9
how does that sound I am think i would need some other sail between the 5.1 and 6.1
I realy want to get the sails to no more than 3 though.

Hmmm... Do you really need to go as big as 6.9m at only 60kg??
My biggest is 6.3 and I'm closer to 80 kgs... Guess it depends on the type of sailing you do, where you do it, and what boards you
have. 5.2m to 6.1m is quite a big gap though.
Also, its silly to have a smaller gap between the biog sails than between the small sails as it works on percentages, so theres a
bigger difference in power between a 4m sail and a 5m sail than there is between say a 6m and 7m.

Cheers Al
I was thinking the gap between the 5 and 6 was abit big.
Think its got to be a new 5 and 5.7, I have an old 6.5 which it gut less do that will do for the 6.3 for now.

I reckon that about 15-20% between the sizes is about right unless you are a professional who HAS to have the absoloute correct size -
personally I stuggle to feel the differance between .2m in a sail........
Pick the sail size you think that you are going to use the most and build up/down from there, keeping an eye on what style of sailing
you either do, or want to aim for.

For flat water blasting you will want slightly bigger sails, particularly if you like summer sailing, and it depends on the type of
Board as well. What have you got?

The latest sails have a bigger range in general - I think 5.1->6.1 is not too bad, if you're sailing on flat water you'll hold the
6.1 down no problem for a long time.
I've currently got a similar gap at 5.0->5.9 but my 5.9 is very easy to take all the guts out of by flattening it off - so again
depends on the type of sail it is.
Which sails are you considering and what board(s)/sailing style are you going to be using.
