Whats happened to all the windsurfers???
Come on guys (and gals) where are you all. It wasn't that long ago that if there was wind there would almost always be someone to go
out windsurfing with at Borth (Ben, Andy, Simon, Derek, Richard, Des, Chris, Doug, Steve, Rob etc etc.), but these days it always seem
to be just me.
Today was just perfect, the sun was shining there was a lovely 20-25 knot wind and the waves were fun, but I was the only one out.
There were of course 6 people out kitesurfing, and I know some of the windsurfers have let kite-surfing take over, but if it carries on
like this there will be no windsurfers left!!!
I think I had a better time than the kite-surfers today though. It was just perfect.
Looks as though it will drop off tomorrow, so I might be out kitesurfing myself instead of windsurfing.

got to be better for strong wind sailing and that when

Well... once you're OK at kitesurfing, its pretty good in strong winds (if you have a small kite). I'll still be out windsurfing if
course as I only have one kite.
I think the reason everyone is getting into kitesurfing is because its SO much easier than windsurfing. Its quite nice to be able to be
going along at a decent speed looking fairly impressive on your first day, and doing some pretty big controlled jumps after a few
sessions.... Not many people can manage 6 foot jumps on a windsurfer after a few sessions... Most people can manage that after a few
years!!!
