w/e diaries
It looks like this must have been one of the busiest FON members weekend - if that sort of makes sense
Lots of people out on the water etc doing what they love and some real stoked people going by the stars. I personally had a good days
windsurifng on Sunday.
No real point to this thread but just thought I would mention it.

Yes it sure was a good one.
And it is nice to read so many entries in January.
What surprised me the most about my session was the difference in conditions between inland and coastal locations.
I drove from the midlands to the Welsh coast. On the way it was a bit chilly, dark and raining. At the coast it was an ok 8C and sunny.
On the way back it as 4-5C and in places there was an inch of hail on the ground (looked like snow from the car!) so it was white
over!
But sailing at Borth I can't say I was at all cold, that is until I got changed at the estuary at the end of the session! Now if I'd
gone to Bala inland, well it's just not worth thinking about!

It certainly looks as though everyone had fun. I was chatting in the chat room last night to Nick and BEFS, and it seems as though
quite a few people have been motivated to get out there earlier in the year than they normally would, and generally get out on the
water more often... Forces-of-Nature can’t take all the credit, but I’m sure the encouragement in the fourms and the
ability to record your sessions in the Personal Diaries has certainly
helped with the motivation for some. I know it has for me, just being able to ‘share’ my experiences with others and
increase my Stoke Factor helps me into that cold wet smelly wetsuit when my body is telling me to stay at home in front of the fire.
I have to say though that its worth it every time I do. So, for all those of you who haven’t persuaded yourselves to get out over
the winter. Take a read through the diary entries, see how stoked everyone who got out over the weekend is, and also note that there is
very little mention of the cold.... In fact, most people are commenting on how warm it is (Shaka even thought it felt like July!!).
I think those that got out will agree it was worth the effort.

I don't think it's the 'sharing' that makes you go out Al....it trying to get out more than everyone else and rub everyones noses in
it!

Yes, it really was a good weekend, eh?
It was also good to see such a VARIETY of locations, too. I was particularly interested in Shaka's sesh at Worthing... very
informative.
Cheers all
