He doesn't seem to be blowing quite hard enough if the weather station is to be believed. I guess he won't be blowing at the weekend with the light westerly wind forecast.

Al the best way is to go down and check...last week the station forecast gave 10-13 knots..then I went down and I was on a 9 meter kite!!..sometimes it is just blowing in the channel, not even before the bending which brings you to the parking of Ynyslas

It often eases off later int he day as well... When I posted at 7am it had been blowing well for a couple of hours.

I realise that is the best way but to fit with work and other things I first need to work out when to expect him to blow and then it helps to know he is actually blowing and it's worth a trip.

Am I right in thinking this weekend is unlikely?

I'm heading to Aberdovey on Saturday morning to pick up a sail and for the Boardwise demo day so I should be in the right place anyway without needing to rig any kit

Now: 18.4¬?C
Feels Like: 23.2¬?C

Al check this

http://www.alananna.co.uk/blog/2008/ivor-borth-and-ynyslas-katabatic-wind/

well sometimes I have done trips that I thought were not worth (see Friday evening at 7.00-and saturday at 6.00 am last week) and got the prize on both occasions..of course I was down yesterday evening after work training, etc. and did not get anything...unfortunately we do not leave in Brazil ..hence i try to put other things behind whenever possible..just for one day/few hours..
hope to catch you soon on the water
