Honking Easterlies

Its a long way off yet, but the tail end of next week currently has some mad easterlies forecast.... Add on the Ivor effect and it could be honking.

Hope my speed kit is ready for action by then.

Maybe there will be some tomorow? Will wait and see.

can you landboard when its blowing eastlys or do the dunes stir it up to much?

You could do and when its that strong it should be OK at low tide, but it will still be pretty gusty on the seafront.

We tend to head to the estuary in an easterly or NE where the wind goes ballistic, especially at this time of year thanks to our local katabatic wind affectionately known as Ivor.

Although if its 40 knots and there aren't too many waves I may well sail off the seafront to get some 3 mile long speed runs in!
