Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggg!!

It feels like my trip to SA was one long dream of kiting for 5 weeks..this cold weather and no wind sux!! mmmmmm, now do i plan a trip to Egypt? if only i had the leave..

u're right Neil, wind is looking poor

chris - 22-1-2006 at 22:42

not the best winter for kiting. although went biking today and boy i had the most amazing time. and quess what the down hill works every day. its never flat or windless. now thats what i call a sensible sport.

justal - 23-1-2006 at 07:45

You're right Chris, and it keeps you fit which has to be a good thing.

I would join you in the hills but you tend to get a bit muddy and sweaty which isn't ideal when you have no proper washing facilities at home!!

In fact, that's my excuse for getting a little unfit and a little fatter over the past few years... No real running water means I haven't been able to go cylcing or running etc... Of course, getting married and having a son may have contributed a little too!

chris - 23-1-2006 at 10:40

neil, the long range looks good for the east coast? wrap up warm though.

mNeil - 23-1-2006 at 11:23

wind finder now showing nw winds for saturday going nnw for sunday at borth .
WHOEVER IS DOING THAT WIND DANCE KEEP IT UP!!!!!

leonardo - 23-1-2006 at 19:32

Yo NeilDUDE...if this wind forecast keeps it up looks like we might have a weekend with some wind albeit NE or NW then i don't have to work!!

I wouldn't mind a weekend in the estaury with super flat water and tonking wind

justal - 23-1-2006 at 19:57

Weds-Thurs look do-able in the estuary at the moment... It even picked up for a while today, topping out out 21 knots at one point.

Al.

chris - 23-1-2006 at 22:22

will be about thursday over aberdyfi side again. could be a bit of swell. shem you up for a bar session?

leonardo - 24-1-2006 at 17:32

Thinking of hitting the beach friday or Sunday, depending on which looks better..sorry chris, can't make thurs!

ITS FRIGGING COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

justal - 24-1-2006 at 18:06

It suddenly looks pretty good for Thurs, Fri Sat and Sunday.... Take a look at the windguru forecast

Nice NE in the estaury.... could even go a little mad with a forecast like that... We'll see.

Al.

chris - 24-1-2006 at 18:37

justal - 24-1-2006 at 18:58

It's all in the mind Chris... Imagine it's warm and it will feel warm!!

rob - 25-1-2006 at 11:50

saturday low tide 2pm ish

sunday low tide 3pm roughly

rob - 25-1-2006 at 11:51

Spooker - 25-1-2006 at 15:22

Tides are pretty pants really, low tide 2pm & 3pm sat & sun, coming into springs as well, so not much water I'm thinking. Having said that if the forecast holds I'll be down sat evening for a sunday morning sail.

justal - 25-1-2006 at 17:30

Yep, High tide Sat is 7am, so there may just be enough time to get a session in as it is light enough to rig up from about 7.30am.. Not much time for an evening session though.

Sunday high tide is 7.45 am do there should be plenty of water for a couple of hours on the water between 8 and 10.

Although the wind forecast isn't as good as it was.

Al.

col123 - 25-1-2006 at 17:52

Looks like all the wind will be on the south coast this week end. Im seriously thinking of going to Calshot or Portland this weekend & windsurfing for a change
