October - Kite holiday - Where in the World?
dogby - 27-6-2006 at 21:56

Hi all,

First time on here. I'm planning to take my new girlfriend on a kitesurfing holiday in October. I'm a cruiser who jumps when it's steady winds, flat water and warm. The girlfriend has only got as far as body dragging so far. Probably further by October!

So, we're looking for a good place to go in October. The nearer to UK/cheaper flights the better but we want good conditions.

Southern Spain..hop on a cheap flight to Jerez, Gibraltar or Malaga and head for Tarifa. I just had an amazing couple of weeks there. October's still warm, summer crowds have gone so plenty of space, miles of beaches & a sociable little number. Both Spring & Autumn equinox bring the lagoons in at the football ground (end of the town beach) and Los Dunas..great for your lass to learn on, whilst you get to practise tricks on the flat or play on the ocean blue .

Check out Kev & Lisa at www.highflyerstarifa.com I stayed with them for 2 weeks and, as a newbie, Kev managed to get me flying and Lisa's home baking filled the spot nicely. Great couple, great holiday. Tell 'em Catherine sent you! PM me if you wanna know more
