Bjorn at Borth!!!
justal - 12-10-2003 at 12:32

I went out for a lovely little kite-surf session in the estuary this morning, and as I came off the water, a van with loads of kit on arrived on the beach, so I went over to say hello, only to find that it was none other than Bjorn Dunkerbeck!!!

I had a little chat with him and he seemed to like the layout of the beaches here... He's now over on the seafront and hopefuly will go out on the water later... Should be interesting if he does.

This bjorn bloke seems to be getting about a bit! Hasn't he got a full time job to hold down?

Dave - 12-10-2003 at 17:55

I got a couple of other shots, but he went so quick (copared to everyone else) that he quickly got out of range of my lens.

I saw the car laddened down with kit and thought who's this big knob. Got the binos out and said that it's looked like Bjorn but what would he be doing in a place like Borth!!!! Stevebus came back and said the same both didnt want to say anything until we had a better idea. Went to look at the kit, heard the vioce, looked at each other thought F**k it is him!!!! How good is that!!! We went out sailing not for long but can say that ive sailed with Bjorn now as well. Was a sad muppet and went and got his autograph so a gr8 day with all the kit tried as well

Didn't anyone try to elicit a reason as to his business in Wales in October?

I have this vision of BD waking up in his palatial Maui residence " Right then will it be Jaws, Hookipa , Diamond Head ?.. Nah today I shall mainly be windsurfing in Borth"

As you would

justal - 13-10-2003 at 16:11

Luckily there wasn't really any wind yesterday while he Bjorn was here.... We wouldn't have wanted him to see Borth 'going off' otherwsie we'd end up with all the PWA sailors here all the time!!!

Actually, I think he's a wind jinx as its been windy here all day today.

Seriously though, it would have been good if he had been here for the F-O-N meeting last weekend though, as it would have been good to see him sailing in the decent conditions we had then. He would certainly have put us all to shame.

Anyway, heres some more photographic evidence as promised.

Wow, that is a turn up for the books.... Bjorn Dunkerbeck at Borth. You should have encouraged him to sign up here and post entries in the diaries, they would have mae good reading!

Never mind Bjorn, I'd only get excited if Anni-frid turned up too. Not Agnetha, she's a recluse you see. No sign of Benny?

Well, SOMEONE had to lower the tone, but glad you had a Super Trouper at Borth. I wonder what other Visitors you have lined up.
