Looking good for Thurs/Fri
justal - 19-8-2003 at 19:46

The forecast is looking good for Thursday and Friday. SW Force 5-6. Unfortunatley for all the weekend warriors out there, it looks as though the wind will be gone by the weekend though.

I'm going to be pretty busy all day Thursday as well, so will miss out on a proper long SW sail, but will hopefully be able to squeeze in a session in the evening.

Will the weather be good for a spot of surfing?

I don't think so, the low pressure is to the North of the UK, so there won't be any swell coming this way.... Although, there might just be some on Friday, but it'll be small and messed up by the onshore winds.

Don't get too excited, but it could be worth a little check as the surf has been flat for ages, so this is the best chance we've had for a few weeks.... Not long until the autumn swells though!

Its been a while since I posted one of these, but this is the most exciting chart we've had for a while.... Look at that, there are isobars over the UK again!!!!

My finger is mending slowly. I will still be out of action for this weekend.

Hopefully it will be alright in a couple of weeks time.

Angry.... There was a bit more surf than expected as the wind blew a little harder than expected an priduced some very messy waves.

A few people were out, but with little real success, someone was out in a kayak as well... The windsurfing however was as good as it gets. It felt as all the other days were just practise days for conditions like that which was REAL windsurfing weather.

I loved it.... I'll fill in the diary entry in a mo. Darren was struggling when I was there this evening, mainly due to fatugue I thinkk and he said that a few other people were out earlier, all opf whom left dejected and frustated after Borth taught them who was the boss!!! As far as I know they weren't particularly experienced at windsurfing on the sea, and Borth in a biggish SW isn't the place to learn!!
