Heatwave
justal - 6-8-2003 at 20:12

So, how was the heatwave for everyone today??

So much for the ridiculous temperatures, it was pathetic here... No sign whatsoever of the sun and a maximum temperature of 16.9 degrees C.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Kent made it to 35.9C.

Oh well, at least it was a pleasant temperature for working in, evenb if I did get a bit damp in the drizzle.

Down here in Madrid the thermometers read +40¬?C. At night it might drop below 30¬?C.

Rather you than me.... I quite like the 17¬?C or so that we are getting here at the mo... Its still too hot at night though.

Once again, Borth didn't see the sun again today and didn't get above 17¬?C!... It was really foggy as well. I was going to go out for a paddle on my surf-ski as it would have been pretty cool out there in the eerie silence surrounded by fog, but the owners of the company building our house turned up so I had to chat with them instead.

Nicer today though.... A little too hot for me really, but I cooled off after work by going on a little adventure up the Dovey on my surf-ski.

Theres no surf for you though Angry!

That is hot...l. It only got to 17¬?C here again yesterday.... A nice pleasant sort of temperature for being on the beach... The sun came out in the evening for a while as well, but other than that it was mainly cloudy and rainy.

Still, we got out on the water for a couple fo hours.

Well , up here in the arctic circle (50 miles north of Hammerfest) the sun is shining all (and I mean all) the time , the water is a turquoise green and its a balmy 10 degrees.

Still , home next week -Yeehah (which neatly translates into torrential downpours for the next month , then)
