Igloo in Wales
justal - 23-12-2010 at 08:15

I haven't been out on the water this week yet, but there has been plenty of fun in the snow here. We even built an igloo in the back garden, and I slept in it for a couple of nights.

Despite 30 knot winds and very cold temperatures it was surprisingly comfortable in it and I didn't even know that it was windy outside.

"Middle aged married man moves into igloo in garden!!"

You lead such an alternative life Al - I'm sure the BBC will make a documentary on it one day

Impressive Al, have you thought of letting it out as a winter B&B? You could market it as Borth's answer to the Ice hotel!

Not to sounds like a complete idiot - but howd you keep dry in that thing! Warm it maybe with a fire, but surely that negatively impacts the ice`? I do apologise if I come out of this looking moronic...but, I am tired

I am assuming that is just a light, but it looks remarkably like a fire!

It was just a single tealight candle - That gave off no heat at all!
