Hi. Many years ago I used to be a very keen windsurfer, out 12 months of the year but had to finish due to wrist injury. I am looking to get back on the water and was thinking of starting kiteboarding but my first question is, is there as much strain on the wrists as there is when windsurfing when holding the boom, waterstarting etc. Also what size board should I look to get being 6ft and 14 stone, does it go by your weight. Thanks in advance.

no not too much pressure on the wrists, bar pressure difers between kite brands too so pick one that's known for being 'light'. Board wise bigger when your learning and in lighter winds then drop in size for better manoverability. Boards are shorter and fatter now but probably something around 136x44. But the bigger the better for learning, we use a 150
