Welcome Zell

Only been on here a week myself, but there's a pretty good community thing happening here!

Check out the forum about 'hang time' in the kiting section, it's awesome!

Hi Zelwaters,

Where do you normally surf / kite etc, and what kites have you got. You'll soon be out there ripping it up kite-surfing, its a much easier sport to get to grips with than surfing or windsurfing.

Glad you both like the site.

Al.

Hey Zelwaters,
Just thought I'd say hi as well. I'm a newbie to the site and kitsurfing as well, but yea they are both cool.

Where are you hanging out at the moment? In answer to your question from my intro post I'm currently living in Hull but looking at moving pretty soon hopefully to somewhere anywhere oh my god thats next to the sea

Although Aber would be real good

hey al
i normally surf down in cornwall but i wanna have a go closer to home, i live myself in manchester which is really quite far to travel to go down south i suppose i shud get my lazy ass down to n wales, my neighbours go regularly to hells mouth? supposed to be alright for waves, i dont normallyt go as far as llanfairfechan or bangor tho, where is borth sounds wonderful.
was looking at some pictures and the breaks look quite good.

hey wolfie what you doing in hull your home town?
im hanging out in southport ainsdale its a great beach for kititng very long and the beach runs for miles perfect for buggying but not ideal for kite surfing the waves are pretty poor

you dont really have to live next to the see but you can live in a place thats accessible (by car) to lots of different places i.e myself i live in manchester i have beahces that are only an hours drive away.... some times 45 mins depending on mood and traffic!

Hi Zelwaters.... Get yourself down to Hells Mouth with your neighbours. The surf can be as good as that in Cornwall (at least it can at beaches near to Hells Mouth), but it isn't as consistent as it is in Cornwall... But if there isn't any surf then you can always go kiting instead.

Take a look at the photos I posted in this thread to see just how good North Wales CAN get.

Theres quite a few other beaches to head for in North Wales as well (take a look at the beach guide on this site if you haven't already.)

Borth is in the middle of Cardigan Bay about 9 miles north of Aberystwyth. Its probably a 3 hour drive from Manchester. You'll have to get yourself out exploring. Southport is OK for kiting etc., but its not the prettiest bech in the world!!!
