New girl offering a lift london to the beach
Rosie - 23-7-2006 at 21:09

Hello there

Another newbie here - with the added advantage though that I have a car.

Live in Clapham and am looking for some kitesurf mates to talk to on the way to/ from the beach, and of course help catch my kite!!! Happy of course to help catch someone elses...

Anyone interested in going to shoreham/ lancing/ whitstable/ southend give me a shout.

Rosie x

Hi Rosie, always good to hear of more females partaking in this wonderful, addictive sport/obsession we throw ourselves into at any available opportunity.

Not being from your neck of the woods, I may struggle to land your kite but if you ever venture across the boarder, you'll encounter friendly willing kitesurfers tripping over themselves to help you out.... The Borth massif.... now also known as team pikey... ding dang do. Must be the friendliest bunch that you'd ever stumble across.!!

Enough of that b*@#cks

WELCOME Cattch you when the wind blows

thanks!

where is borth?!

Hi ya Rosie.
Welcome to the fora.

Borth is in sunny, sunny, sunny, West Wales.
Virtually the first bit of coast that you hit if you go West from Birmingham. (as the crow flys)
It's situated just North of Aberystwyth, on the opposite side of the river Dyfi's (Dovey) estuary to Aberdovey.

It's a great spot for land and water type kite malarky.

Come up and see us some time.

and if any of us are down your way i'm sure we'll drop you a line.

Hi Rosie,

I've moved down to london last year, there is a group of us who went to brum university and kitesurfed. a few of us are based in south london too. We regularly head out to ferring, Lydd, Camber, Whitstable too.

If you are interesed in tying up with us to share lifts etc, drop me a PM.

how goes it markyboarder??

Hey, Charlie dude, long time no see.

I'm super fine ta.
I was using a 17m contra out on the water last week.
ME! doing wet watery type stuff. what is the world coming to!

How's You? How's the 'big town' treating you?

CharlieR - 26-7-2006 at 07:18

Big town is good thanks, bit hot though - shouldn't complain!

used that contra in Jersey, nice toy, would like to try the 14m, probably better for a lightweight like me. Good to hear you've finally found the water!

Will hopefully be up for a welsh trip soon.
