First shortboard

Well, I am feeling rather torn over the issue of timing. I have a birthday in nine days time but still do not know what I want as a main present. I was considering a new surfboard but I don't know whether I would be good enough. I intend to keep my mini-mal (7' 3") but use the new board for improving. I can't tell whether it is me reaching the mini-mal's "full" potential; or whether I should carry on with it for a little longer. I feel at the moment as though I am currently at a stand-still where I can turn but carving is poor. I have considered surfing the Trap but I am more worried about other people. I have been surfing for about two years now. Any opinions welcome. Thank you, James.

Well James
if you do buy a board, forget the new resin8s, heaps of them are crumpling away in a few weeks after purchase, i had one and its dead before two months. they must be crazy for selling these things, biggest scam or manufacturing disaster that i know of so far. Anyway, get a decent surftech or salomon. Proven durability & performance.

Cheers BB
