Did anyone get out surfing over the weekend??

We had some good waves in Widemouth, athough the world seems to have been taken over by poeple on those yellow and blue foam boards who just wallow around in the white-water!

What was it like where you were??

Sooty.

well sooty its been good all last week with spots all over the north and south coast pumping , on saturday watergate bay was a nice four foot with good banks and good bowling section ,while on sunday porthleven was fat with good six foot sets , with the winds been light NE my mates in newquay said there was 8 foot plus sets coming thought at fistral with a hand full of poeple out so all in all its been a bit of a swell fest with this weekend looking like it could just be as good if not better

Hi Paz....

I was good last week in West Wales... makes a change to get a whole week with decent surf conditions doesn't it!

Don't forget to record your session in the Peronal Diaries. You'll want to look back and remember the good days!!

Especially when you consider that I'm actually from Bristol as well!!

I know Saltford quite well too... I used to cycle there along the Bristol-Bath Cyclepath and then swim in the river at Saltford all the time. Good fun jumping off the bridge there into the river as well.... Don't tell me, its clogged up with shopping trolleys these days!!

Well, what d'a know....

... another Bath surfer here (well I grew up in Bath an started surfing while I lived there).

Those were the days, when you'd kid yourself that you could make it to Croyde in under 2 hours on a good run and wonder why it always took 2 1/2 when you did it!

Nowadays I have at least 3 hours to any decent beach!

Oh well, that's life I suppose.
