Hey, are you just copying my post from this morning!!!!

Looks as though it'll take a fairly Northerly route across the Atlantic, so West Wales may miss out on the surf, but we should get the winds, and some wind-waves with it... No proper swell though, but Ireland and North Cornwall should be going off!!

Yeah, looks like I did doesn't it.

But no I just saw those isobars and posted. Must have missed your post somehow...

I might get out at the weekend at last, its been weeks now, I getting a bit desparate!

It might even be worth booking a day off sometime next week as well...

Cheers,

Andy

Yep. Monday is looking like the best day at the moment... NW Force 5-6.

Where will you be sailing?

Al,

I might well be out on Sunday, definitely can't make Saturday.

I'm trying to decide where to go. 2/2.5 hour drive to Borth or stay inland somewhere...

What will the conditions be like in a F5/6? I guess the estuary might not be any good given the wind direction.

So what's the sea state going to be like?

Can't decide what to do at the moment.

If its SE the sea will be fairly flat (unless any of the swell makes it up here which I doubt). Its not that good in a SE usually though as its always a bit gusty.

SE can be OK in the estuary, if you sail down by the River Leri where the wind is cleaner. We may well sail out through the mouth of the estuary and over to Graveyards though, as the wind funnels through the gap there so it'll be stronger and cleaner and there might even be some waves to play on over the bar.

Lets just hope Fabian cools down a little before it gets here though. At the moment its generating 145 mph winds and 20 metre swells.... I think you'd need a bigger board!!!
