SE'ly @ Borth or Dyfi
AndyW - 19-9-2006 at 14:02

I'm considering a session on Thursday and its looking like SE.

What's a SE'ly like to sail @ Borth or Aberdyfi? Does it get blocked by the hills or can it get through?

Cheers, Andy

Tywyn can be pretty good in a SE though.

If it is a really strong SE and there is a decent swell then it can be good off the seafront here in Borth (although a bit gusty), and there should be a fair bit of wind in the estuary, especially if you head down to the area where the River Leri discharges into the estuary. It will still be gustier than normal though as the wind is coming off the land.

Hmmm, think I'll try launching from Aberdovey main car park.

Then I can always go take a look at Tywyn if I feel like it.
