Which lines??
justal - 10-4-2003 at 06:33

Anyone know if anywhere has any good deals on a set of ktiesurf lines for my 11m Wipika Free Air?

When I bought the kite there was no such thing as dedicated 'linesets', you just bought a length of line, cut it into 4 equal lengths and sheathed it yourself. things have moved on since then and it looks as though I have to pay around £60 for a set??

I can tell you they're bloody expensive but thats about it!

Are you going to put it on four lines?

Ozone make some of the best lines for land use but Flexifoil have Hydroline which is fully sleeved, abrasion resistant and think it floats, expensive stuff though:

Cheers Adam... The flexifoil hydroline looks good. Now I have to find out what breaking strain I need for an 11m Wipika Free Air.

Any ideas?? 500lb should be plenty yeah?

Yep minimum of 500lb for water use, anything over 700lb is overkill.

Cheers guys.... found a cheaper source than the Powerkiteshop though at http://www.windseekers.co.uk/

I've bought some... from my favourite kite shop (Trick of the Eye) in the end.

Powerkiteshop wanted £85.90 for 4x40m 500lb hydrolines
Windseekers wanted £77.32

I got them from Trick of the Eye for £40

No competition!!!

They might even arrive tomorrow as Carl said he'd get them in the post today.
