THink Ill be treating myself to a weekend off, what with there being big tides at mid day, and the fact that Ive created about 20 new kite surfers in the last couple of weeks! If I can drag myself away from Aberdyfi Ill come over the dark side for a change!! Fingers X for wind and waves

mNeil - 14-11-2007 at 15:12

should be up friday evening Jon , great turn out and weekend last gone.really enjoy NW as its on my natural stance for popping off the waves. this weekend looking SW so should be warmer

justal - 14-11-2007 at 15:20

Actually, it is looking colder at the moment for the weekend with temps forecast to be around 7-8¬?C compared to around 12-13¬?C last weekend.

Spooker - 15-11-2007 at 14:36

So - if its Dyfi saturday, whats the chances of launching just round from the main carpark - instead of trudging across the golf course? wind looks pretty steady southerly all day at the mo....

However it comes

Got burgled earlier in the week, and that was one of the things that went missing

Still, they left all my kiting stuff, so it could have been worse.

Noo Noo - 16-11-2007 at 15:10

Rock for me I think.

My local aahhhh

Loxley - 16-11-2007 at 17:23

Hi Noo Noo,

well we will be passing each other on the M40 somewhere as I am down in Newbury this weekend visiting my sons.

catch up with you soon.

Mark

shem - 16-11-2007 at 18:52

Popped up to BRS today and only 3-4 knots there, ( was 10 knots here at the time).

Looks like it may turn up ok for aberdyfi so fingers X. Shinny new toys as well, nice! Dont worry dan I wont use yours!!!

Dandine - 17-11-2007 at 18:56

you read my mind.

Noo Noo - 19-11-2007 at 08:24

Hi Mark. Will do. I'll be back up this coming weekend. My cousins having his 40th birthday so I'll celebrate by kiting ( I hope!!)

Shem could have done with you at BRS on Saturday. Real lumpy wind and very powered but still managed a good couple of hours. I was the practically the only one on the beach!! had to come in when the thought of self landing in those conditions didn't appear very attractive.

Real shortage of kite bitches at the moment.

shem - 19-11-2007 at 08:49

you should have come to Aberdyfi it was a awesome day! Next time maybe hey.

justal - 19-11-2007 at 09:39

Did anyone get out on Sunday.... Where di that wind come from, 30+ knots all day, that certainly wasn't forecast.

Al.

shem - 19-11-2007 at 09:48

I couldnt face the cold, and I had a late night/early morning on sat! Good solid wind out there now as well, but with snow capped mountains I think Ill do some work in stead. You fancy nant yr arian tommorow Al?

justal - 19-11-2007 at 10:19

Sounds good to me Shem... My back is still pretty sore but I'll see how it is tomorrow... Do you want a daytime session or a night time adventure?

Al.

Loxley - 19-11-2007 at 12:19

Hi Col,

well if your wales bound this coming weekend, I believe the Powerkiteshop are having their autumn/winter extravaganza with various items of kit on display/demo etc.

will check the forecast midweek to see where we end up, if not BRS we will be in Dyfi or Borth.

Mark

Noo Noo - 19-11-2007 at 13:32

Sounds good.

Hoping for wind. I love BRS. Great having a such a spot 20 minutes from the door.

Saying that a Dyfi visit is due again. Should've gone there on Saturday really. Surprised no one showed at the Rock though

shem - 19-11-2007 at 15:35

Itll be a day time for a change Al. Thinking of starting 10.30 ish and going for the day

col123 - 19-11-2007 at 19:59

i'm at blackrock this weekend for a change, new toys again and the ozone lot will be there, huge tides so a walk to the water, but the lagoons will be working.

i've got my mitts on a slingshot REV and the new wave kite the revolver from cabrinha, might be some decent waves to try it with fingers crossed for the wind, theres quite a few people on land and water with some top pro riders coming up forthe weekend

Noo Noo - 20-11-2007 at 07:52

Just checked the long range forecast

Hmm.

If we get a north westerly does anyone fancy Harlech?
