shem - 19-12-2006 at 08:02

Whos around for a kite over Christmas and new year then? I think the traditional new years day fancy dress kite would be a wise choice as well!!

justal - 19-12-2006 at 08:38

Can lowly windy-surfers join in too!

Al.

jon d hat - 19-12-2006 at 08:46

I'm back around the 27th, so anytime between then and New years eve I will be up for a sail. Got the new bridles for my kite, and I've got to see it pumped up and flying at least.

Of course well let you join in AL!!

Gagin to get this new sonic in the water, need wind!!!!!

Jonny - 19-12-2006 at 13:18

Did you get a Sonic 11m Shem?
Its always the same, as soon as you get a new toy, the 3 months of wind we've had comes to an end. Looks like theres no wind till Sunday for me and its gonna be cold for the beginning of next week if we do get wind.

Jonny - 19-12-2006 at 13:20

And Al, hows your new motor treating ya?

shem - 19-12-2006 at 17:15

Ye got the sonics and trix's in now, (at last), and the new sky walkers came today as well, so Ive had a day unwrapping , a week early!!!!

Fart Boy - 19-12-2006 at 18:04

that and getting some winter sun before the bad weather hits us.

mNeil - 21-12-2006 at 14:43

see you in gatwick tomorrow morning then Mark we will all be delayed!!!!

Loxley - 21-12-2006 at 19:25

Aha, maybe not !
We are flying from Manchester - no reported delays from there !!! LOL

Well not yet anyway.

Have a good trip.

shem - 22-12-2006 at 08:02

Looks like none of us will be kiting here over xmas, forcast still looks pap, and even if the estuary manages some wind, its farkin freezin out there. Think its time to drag out the mountain bike!!

Fart Boy - 22-12-2006 at 09:12

Shem, the sonic works well in the buggy., so could be low wind criusing in an arm chair with a can of extra. Just need that cup holder option for the buggy.

gazxtreme - 22-12-2006 at 12:48

Hi, we've organised a similar thing for the 27th called a santa surf involving all watersports at Earnse Bay, Walney, Barrow, all welcome if you dont mind the travelling, BBQ afterwards at mine for £1 a head, I can arrange B+B @ £18 pp,pn too. You can find pics and directions at www.nwks.co.uk,

Fart Boy - 28-12-2006 at 20:22

Looks like its going to be a wet and windy one this weekend. Mind you Dovey/Borth will have weather of it's own as usual I'm sure. Should be a good couple of days.

See you Saturday morning

shem - 28-12-2006 at 21:54

Oh yes!!

Fat Shady - 28-12-2006 at 22:47

Im going to Sandbanks at Poole on Friday to meet up with some friends for a kite surf session, should make Dovey or Borth for Sunday though

nick-r - 29-12-2006 at 07:18

see you all at the weekend at either borth or dovey....Happy New Year.

bbc weather are forecasting damaging winds for the weekend.... with lots of rain...but on the plus side it's going to be quite warm

Fat Shady - 29-12-2006 at 18:54

There was too much wind for me today at Poole.
Im keeping my fingers crossed for a session at Borth to round out the holiday.

Even after eating all the pies this christmas it still looks like I might have to buy a smaller kite after all

shem - 29-12-2006 at 19:57

I think the whole of the British kiting population has decided to buy a smaller kite. having a 11 just isnt small enough nowadays!

col123 - 29-12-2006 at 20:27

i'm up tomorrow morning, looks a good forecast, maybe the reef bikini girls will make an appearance
