I'm off to Coed y Brenin to do the Mawddach Goldrush today... I'm not feeling very fast though and to be honest don't know if I'll even
complete all three laps, but its worth a try.
Only 140 competitors which is odd considering how quickly the Dyfi Enduro sells out, but it isn't the best value event at £30 to
enter in order to ride around some trails at Coed y Brenin.
It is all for charity but I think they'd do better if they gave a little more back to the competitors or tried to keep the cost down,
that way they might get more entries.
The weather doesn't look too bad though so I shall plod my way around and see if I can finish it... Even if it takes all day!

enjoy!! i just dont have enoughtime to cycle as much as I want at th mo, things should be better next month, so will have to catch up Al.
Ooooh, the pain!!
Full report later as I don't have the energy at the mo, but the third lap was a killer!
Total time was 3hrs 37mins though so I was pleased with that as I thought I'd be looking at a time of over 4 hrs.

Hi Al,
My legs feel like jelly, riding and driving for six hours is not pleasant. Hopefully see you at Borth in the near future on a good
forecast.
Tom (number 17 at Goldrush)
Cheers Tom,
Will be good to see you here in Borth once the forecasts are good... It's currently 20-25 knots in the estuary, but I'm not sure my
legs can cope with a windsurf session today after yesterdays agony!
Enjoyed the 'race' yesterday though despite the pain. Full report here:
