Last weeks rides were good. Only Dave and I made it on Weds but the weather was perfect for riding, dry and windless with clear skies and an awesome moon. Sunday morning was good too clear and cool with the trails drying out nicely now.

This weeks ride is up in the Dyfi forest. meet at 7p, in the car park above Ceinws for a lap of the ClimachX trail plus some extras, which will include elephant and possibly the final descent of the enduro or one other.

There are two sets of spare lights available for anyone wishing to try out night riding. One set is already taken and Dave needs 24hrs notice to charge up the other set to full capacity if you want to borrow them.

This weekend sees us heading south for the end-of-month ride, which features the Gap Trail, one of south Wales's classics. We will meet at Plascrug Leisure Centre to leave at 08:30 am so that we can get down to Talybont-on-Usk for 10:00-10:30. It appears to start and end at a pub so has certain similarities to the Black Mountains Killer loop we did a couple of months ago. More details plus map here and here. Hopefully we'll have a tracklog version of the route on a GPSr so there will be no chance of us getting lost! We may also have a local on hand, especially if the weather remains good.

Al you still riding the gap sunday ?

No... I was ill yesterday so have pulled out. The others are still heading down though. and I'll probably do a ride locally here.
