just received long range for next weekend and it is not looking good guys; nothing near 10 knts. all we can do is hope that by then it
changes as it is a long way off!!!!!!!
Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggg!!
It feels like my trip to SA was one long dream of kiting for 5 weeks..this cold weather and no wind sux!! mmmmmm, now do i plan a trip
to Egypt? if only i had the leave..
u're right Neil, wind is looking poor
not the best winter for kiting. although went biking today and boy i had the most amazing time. and quess what the down hill works
every day. its never flat or windless. now thats what i call a sensible sport.
You're right Chris, and it keeps you fit which has to be a good thing.
I would join you in the hills but you tend to get a bit muddy and sweaty which isn't ideal when you have no proper washing facilities
at home!!
In fact, that's my excuse for getting a little unfit and a little fatter over the past few years... No real running water means I
haven't been able to go cylcing or running etc... Of course, getting married and having a son may have contributed a little too!
Al.
neil, the long range looks good for the east coast? wrap up warm though.
wind finder now showing nw winds for saturday going nnw for sunday at borth .
WHOEVER IS DOING THAT WIND DANCE KEEP IT UP!!!!!
Yo NeilDUDE...if this wind forecast keeps it up looks like we might have a weekend with some wind albeit NE or NW then i don't have to work!!
I wouldn't mind a weekend in the estaury with super flat water and tonking wind
Weds-Thurs look do-able in the estuary at the moment... It even picked up for a while today, topping out out 21 knots at one point.
Al.
will be about thursday over aberdyfi side again. could be a bit of swell. shem you up for a bar session?
Thinking of hitting the beach friday or Sunday, depending on which looks better..sorry chris, can't make thurs!
ITS FRIGGING COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It suddenly looks pretty good for Thurs, Fri Sat and Sunday.... Take a look at the
windguru forecast
Nice NE in the estaury.... could even go a little mad with a forecast like that... We'll see.
Al.
perfect, bring it on. a bit chilly though.
It's all in the mind Chris... Imagine it's warm and it will feel warm!!
Al.
After writing that I checked the weather station which is currently showing the temp at minus 0.4¬?C!!
Al.
should be up saturday morning unless anyone else is coming up friday evening? will stay in the usual golf course car park.
i think Leo is coming up with Agnes saturday evening; see y'all
[Edited on 24/1/06 by mNeil]
Brrrr very cold
Will try to be up Saturday, check out the new van and it's heating system Neil
Hopefully my new hoody will keep me warm.
See ya Saturday hopefully.
Apparently the pimped brum grand voyager has been renamed Agnes, yes i know...i had no input into this whatsoever!
its all lies Leo!!!!!!
Al what time are the tides on saturday and sunday and will there be much water in the estuary at low tide please?

saturday low tide 2pm ish
sunday low tide 3pm roughly
are you out on friday al? exams will be over and i'm looking to get out on the water for the day...

will=see=you=all=there.

Tides are pretty pants really, low tide 2pm & 3pm sat & sun, coming into springs as well, so not much water I'm thinking. Having said that if the forecast holds I'll be down sat evening for a sunday morning sail.
Yep, High tide Sat is 7am, so there may just be enough time to get a session in as it is light enough to rig up from about 7.30am.. Not
much time for an evening session though.
Sunday high tide is 7.45 am do there should be plenty of water for a couple of hours on the water between 8 and 10.
Although the wind forecast isn't as good as it was.
Al.
me i'm blackrock bound, should be ok in the estuary, have fun guys, i'm working of sorts
up sat night if wind holds, need to kite not been out proper for so long. going to be soooooooo cold with the tide so early but you gotta do what you gotta do. see ya soon. fingers crossed
