Thodd - 29-6-2004 at 07:53

Hi everyone.....

If anyone comes across a red manta blade fin somewhere in the atlantic (possibly heading towards the east coast of ireland, portugal or America) could you let me know!

Cheers!

Tut tut Thodd...i thought you of all people would have known to put on fin savers!

Or couldn't you be bothered, or did you and they "magicaly" fell off?

I bet its pretty annoying when you lose a fin:

Customer: "Hi, i lost my fin the other day...do you sell individual fins, preferably the same one?"

Shop Owner: "Hahaha...NOOOOOOO!"

Everyone in the shop: "HAHAHAHA!"

...and then you wake up!

Or you could think about the lucky sod that finds the fin. One of my bodyboarding buddies had two pais of fins, none was a propper pair, but they did the job for free

noooooo..... I have fin savers.... and to be perfectly honest i've only had a fin "sucked off" once before!
I actually lost it because we were that bored in the sea (no good waves) that me and my mate started fooling around. It started with wave jousting- start off at different ends of a wave, head towards each other and try and knock each other off... then ended up in a full on fight! (playing not real)
I threw one of my flippers at him in ankle deep water and ........it vanished! Bugger!
Its probably a good thing tho cos they where wrecked anyway... one of them had a rip across the face of it from when I got nailed a few weeks ago.
Gonna get myself a pair of these

there the dogs danglies in the flipper world I reckon!

LOL! That sounds pretty fun! Those fins look good but which ones are they...the tech finz, training zinz, hydro finz?

Thodd - 12-7-2004 at 12:16

sorry mate!! they're the hydro tech2 fins. Gonna get myself a pair weekend after next when i'm back in croyde.

Cannt wait to back into the Devon sea!

Great fins...and have a good time in Devon! Hopefully the surf should be good for you, although its not looking brilliant at the moment...its a bit messy!

Hopefully there should be good waves in the Vendee in France when i go in the summer!

Your right its looking pretty poor at the moment. Its to do with a peak of high pressure pulling its way over the Uk at the moment.

There is some movement in the atlantic at the moment, and hopefully if everything goes according to plan we should be getting waves next week! (maybe)

GREAT! Will that happen on the west coast of France as well?

Thodd - 14-7-2004 at 13:00

hmmmmm,..... scratch what I said! The long term 5 day forecast aint looking to hot! That swell that was building is slowly disappearing and heading down to africa... and its not looking like theres much around after that!

I'll take a look at some isobars later as theres always the possibilty of localised swells that the wave graphs sometiimes don't pick up.

I'll keep you informed!
