Mad. mad session today.
Arrived to find it pissin down and howling a solid 30 knots+. Rigged up between the downpours to 4.5m and wave board.
Got out and played safe on the inside but started wishing I\'d got the 4.0m on as I was well overpowered but stayed with it. Quite happy as its been some time since I was out in these type of conditions and I did OK, went for it landed plenty of jumps, got mullered and had a great time. Bailed out of some jumps and a bit battered on landing but all good fun and no kit damage.
Came in for a rest and thought about packing up but gave it another go early afternoon as the sun came out and the wind eased just a touch although I still read a 41 knot gust at this point. More in control this time but soon was shattered and got a BIG blister so that was it.
Should be 5 stars really but I think I need to push on now and do a bit more out there....
Sorry mate, I thought that you were ill and in need of R&R. I'll let you know if I'm back down next week.
Looking forward to a windy Autumn and using up my remaining 10 days leave ;-)
Andy
I was ill and the R&R was probably needed, but it doesn't take much arm-twisting to get me out for a sail, however ill I am...
