Looking windy and xcweather all green so made the drive. As I arrived front came over and it hammered down with rain bringing up to 20 knts. Rigged up, wind dropped down to 8knts and got about 5 seconds of planning on FSW93 + 6.3m. Would I have got planning on 7.5m setup? no. Utter crap.
Thats why we will never be a main stream sport.
Long drives (minimum of 200 + round trip for most of us), the cost of fuel & the waste of the only day off all take a toll after a
while.
Trouble is nothing else comes close when it works
So do like we do, and live cheaper, have a simpler life and get in the water every day if theres wind. Theres a steady crew of 10-15 locals now in aberdyfi, and its growing every day!!!
