Has anyone got an BIG party plans for the New Year.
And how about hangover recovery techniques??
Also, is anyone making any New Years Resolutions that they want to go 'public' with??
Mine? Well, just a little party at a girlfriends house, hopefully I won't be needing too much of a hangover cure, and if i do its just
Sleep, sleep, sleep. As far as resolutions go, I might finally try and give windsurfing or kite-surfing a go, although I have to admit
that I quite like just feeling like a 'surf chick' by being a part of this community, without actually having to get cold and wet.
Sal.
Plan is for new year, to go to the nearest local town that wont be charging admission to get in to public houses, (Nantwich) and get a
few bevvies in.
No new years resolutions yet, though will stop smoking again in the new year (can't stop at midnight!)
Hangover cure:- A good session out on the water...
We have our own resident kite instructor now Sally so theres no excuses not to try kite surfing
As for newyear its gonna be a a few drinking with a couple of friends nothing too heavy
For escaping the hangover only drink soft drinks after 12 except the new year toast of course
New years Eve I shall be spending at a party at my phd supervisors house. He isn't my supervisor any, ore, and I actually work for his
wife now, but we'll be there anyway.... Parties at their house are usually quite 'interesting'. We'll probably end up drinking with
their children, rather than hanging out with the 'oldies'.
New Years Day is looking pretty good wind wise (Westerly Force 6-7), so you can guess what I'll be doing to get rid of the hangover.
Will anyone be joining me at Borth???
Actually, if the forecast stays that good then I hopefully won't have a hangover.
As far as resolutions go, then I probably won't be making any.
Just me and a buddy and a bottle... When you work with crowds, alone
time is good!
Resolutions? The first is really boring - to cut out Trans Fats (anything hydrogenated). The second is to try and get as many sessions
in while at work than I did while I was off... I shall have a tot up from memory\diaries and see what the golden figure to beat is
Happy New Year to all
Things are still looking good for tomorrow. Westerly Force 5-6, although the strong southerlies that were forecast foe today never
kicked in properly. It did get to about 20 knots, but it was horrible and gusty.
I had planned on going kitesurfing first and then windsurfing later, but in the end I only went kitesurfing.
Oh well.... thats another year over with. Hope it was a good one for you all, and that 2004 is even better.
Ajdesq.... you only started recording your sessions in the diaries here in March, but since then you have recorded 80 of them, so we'll
be watching your stats throughout 2004 to make sure you keep that intensity up!!
Have fun.
Al.
I reckon on about 20 sessions in SA last year in Jan/Feb, what with the windy-boarding and stabs at kitesurfing, so I reckon the score to beat is 100. Eeek! Still, off to Les Arcs tomorrow with snowboard, so should get off to a good start
100 sessions??.... Thats pretty good going, but then you were on a 'years holiday' so it was to be expected.... And off on a nother
holiday too...Its OK for some!!
Have a good one.
Al.
