Hi Al.
Just re-built the PC, so can get back on the site. good to see it is still going well. I promised a while ago some pics of the van
inspired by the toybox on tour part of the site so here it is!
Starting...........................
Day 2....................
Day 4......................
Finished (ish)
I'll go as far as useable, still evolving, playstation and TV are next!
Didn't mean to post that last one!
I guess you could say i like it. Its even better now that I have out a CD player in it and its all wired up to a second battery so that
i can use all the electics without worry. Been away moth windy weekends, and for a full week with the other half. Got some other ideas
so to improve it, don't think i'll ever be done completly!
Thanks for the advice Al, much appreciated and I hope to see you in Wales when the wind starts to blow again!
Wow, I am very, VERY impressed! Nice job there, Wes!
My heart's set on the New Renault Trafic... fully fitted with board storage one side, & motorbike ramp/lashings the other. Torque
figures are drop-dead sexy for the 2.5dci 140...sommat like a Shogun. Hopefully will be on the road by March next year, re-mortgage
allowing

Looking good Wes.... You'll find that your ideas for the next one eveolve though. I'm on my 3rd van now and have just about got the way
I like mine set up sussed!
Trouble is at the moment the van is used as a big storage facility so the bed, stove and changing area are pretty much out of action.
I'll reinstate it all again once we have a house though!!
It is nice having your own mobile toybox with accomodation though isn't it. No need to set up / take down a tent etc. Just arrive
somewhere (anywhere) and get into bed, then get up in the morning and go windsurfing. Everything is there, nice and easy and
convenient. I can't wait to get mine back and head off to the Outer Hebrides in it again... Actually, I don't think this one has been
to the Outer Hebrides yet.
Al.
Yeah, this van is a little slow, but then its also really cheap!
I have looked around a few vans at the beach, and most of them follow pretty similer lines, storage one side, room the other and then a
fold down bed. I guess most people don't have as many toys as Al!
As Al said, its really cool to roll up to a beach, park cook dinner, crash then get up and sail. I don't think I have been in a real
campsite more than twice since getting it. Laybys have a whole new use now! Come the windy season I will give it some longer trips,
Also find out how good all that insulation really is when the temperature plummets. Mind wou, its got to be warmer than sleeping in a
tent!
