wife, might come back across to your region, but just booked crossing over and crossing back on 3rd sep, and wing it rest of the
time.
best way to do it, did this in ireland and gives you loads of freedom etc, talking of which of to ireland 17th july, to do same again,
two bikes this time
agreed Col, when I did an 18month southern hemisphere trip I had one ticket to one country and the rest all flowed Deffo the way forward. Same with this trip, if the weather aint good, Ill be moving on. You taking kiting kit on the bike? I remember kiting colin doing a bike trip with the mrs, camping kit, 2 kites and a board. Serious luggage!
hi Shem will be over there from about the 25thjuly for a month; poss going over the alps and then south to biscarrose as usual for the
sun.
you should try La Porge just south of lacanau, better as fewer crowds and you stop just behind the dunes as usual for free. have fun!
I shall be over this summer as per normal. Prob around start of August for 3 weeks.
Bit of Brittany, reduced stay at inlaws (he prays) then down towards hossegor way.
Shout if you need some good wave stops Shem.
cheers Neil Ill try that one. Ill be mainly at wave spots bucksi, so may see you somewhere along the line. We should starts a thread on
here to keep in touch or post were we are?
Good plan Shem, and wind is very variable there in the summer, sometimes we've had bugger all for 3 weeks (except sea breezes) Waves are far more consistent, though obviously you can get prolonged flat spells.
Thats why its great to have both hey Im not taking my mountain bikes
but am gonna take the racer to clock up a few miles. Luckily Im rather fond of eating cold meats, sea food and cheese, so if all else
fails Ill be just fine. Oh did I mention strong continental ale drinking
hello folks.
If any of you are over in sunny France now...and it is sunny Im leaving
royan area and off to Lacanau tomorrow.
La Palmyre has been epic, I love the place, but its disappointing that the Royan town beaches have had kite surfing banned, even though
they still allow windsurfing, buggying, land yachting and static kite flying...as well as jet skiing and pretty much every other form
of water craft! ggrrrr. Hope your all having fun
Im home. Had an epic summer, plenty of wind, surf and best of all sun. A month and a half and only 2 mornings of rain. Splendid!
