It was blowing a hoolie most of the day today - gusting to 50 knots in the estuary at times.
I had planned to go out but had to go for a run first... Trouble is towards the end of the run I had to make a bit of an emergency
detour home and cut the run short by a mile for a rather urgent toilet visit... Stomach hasn't quite felt right since so I didn't
manage to get out for a windsurf after all.
I'm sure there'll be more wind soon though. The weekend is looking pretty tasty at the moment.
Al.
you do know youv'e just jinxed don't you.
few more knots and it'll be 12m weather!!!
spooker dont forget your pot noodle...no doubt you'll be sitting in the van trying to remember why you went to the coast in the first
place..
.after all its what neil does and you catching up with him, being 60 and all
Pot noodles are a bit much for my ageing gums these days.
Night be down the estuary tho, dribbling and bit and shaking my stick at all the noisy youths...
i might be dribbling myself, but looking at the wind now it might be of the brown variety..
anyone wan't to lend me a wet suit...dont want to soil mine
speed board at the ready me thinks

30-35 knots in the estuary....
Al.
Not as much by the time we pitched up at 11:30ish, but nevertheless had a cracking little sail in the estuary. Me, Snoozer, Dunc and
Badger out in10-20+ knots with glorious sunshine.
A most excellent couple of hours
Yep, I went for a bike ride and it had eased off by the time I got back and then went VERY gusty... Picked up again later on though but
by then it was time for a curry!

Blowing a hoolie out there again this morning.
Al.
Yep - Dunk and Badger got out and I nearly did but a bust valve in my 5.5m kite (and the prospect of traversing the mud to get to the water) put me off. Felt very cold to me too - couldn't feel fingers after only a couple of minutes of fiddling with the dodgy valve.. Yesterday was a nice sail after a sparse few months though.
Oh - I forgot a couple of the windsurfers (from the Uni?) got out and looked to be having a good time
I went for a swim in the sea in Aberystwyth and then for a run but after that couldn't quite muster the enthusiasm to get cold and wet
again.... It was like winter out there and its nearly May!!.
Al.
Yep - It wind really picked up this afternoon and it is still sunny here in LLanafan so probably in Borth too - too late to get down now though. Really wish I had at lunchtime but loads of work to do and I was convinced it would be pouring down by mid afternoon !
