Just posting to let you mountain bikers on the site know about a new event up in the Conwy valley at the end of sept. The event will be
similar to the old Plas y Brenin mountain triathlon for those that remember it.

If anyone is thinking of entering could they put an entry in asap.
We need to know final numbers fairly soon so we can sort out prizes, goody bags etc. and we don't want to be caught out by a huge
number of entries at the last minute.
Don't forget if you don't feel up to doing it all, you can enter as a team.
Following the huge success of last years event, the Dyffryn Conwy Mountain Triathlon will take place again this year on Sun Sept
8th.
Entries are now open.

Hopefully we won't have the torrential rain and 50mph wind this year!
Just a quick reminder about the Dyffryn Conwy Mountain Triathlon which will take place again this year on Sun Sept 8th.

For you MTB people, the course is a bit more technical this year with more single track sections of the Marin trail included.
There are various teams who are short of a member so if you fancy joining up with them let the organisers know via the website
above.
Ladies are especially wanted.
Wish I could join in with this, but it's only a week before the Triathlon World Champs so I'd better not.

Would be awesome indeed!
I would love to join too but unfortunately I will not be able to join, I wish all the rest the best of luck though!
Now in it's 3rd year so no longer a 'new' event, this years event is on Sun 10th August 2014.
More details at http://www.map17events.org.uk/ including some video of last years race so you know what to expect.
jesus, that looks intense. Pretty fun though, if you can hack it. beautiful scenery as well, judging by the video
Just a quick post to let you know that this year's event is on Sun 13th Sept 2015.
As well as the team event for those that only want to do one of the disciplines, this year there is also a duathlon run/bike for those
that don't have access to a kayak.
