Finally it all came together today and I managed a
decent session
without too many mishaps.
Autumn is definitely here, plenty of wind some decent waves and deserted beaches. I've been wearing my winter suit as well which is a
little OTT at the mo but its nice to be warm.
As anyone knows though the worst thing about wind day after day is getting into a wet wetsuit after leaving it in a heap the day
before... Well, my tip of the day is to stick it in the tumble dryer. I always do, on high heat for an hour and not only does it come
out dry but toasty warm too... If there's nothing worse than getting into a cold wet and smelly wetsuit, then getting into a very hot,
dry wetsuit is pure joy!!
I've been doing this with my suit for a few years without any adverse effects and it comes highly recommended!

Yep, it was rocking today Al.
I dry my wetsuit next to the boiler. Seems to work ok, but I have got to the beach a couple of times and left it behind.
dry it next to the boiler....
i hope you don't call her that to her face!!
lol, you must be getting confused, my other half's a babe, and she wouldn't go near my smelly wetsuit.
The boiler, its the white thingy under the stairs that heats my house........Oh and that reminds me, it needs a service, i must call a
plumber.
whos out tmoro then??
me
And me!
Al.
looks like the best day today and tomorrow all blown out by sunday and change direction too.
leave some wind for us weekend sailors.
see you all tonight.
all blown out..look again N/E 15mph IVOR time
where are you looking col ?
i am checking on windguru.
is there a better site ?
magic seaweed .com...xc weather
All i'm getting from XC Weather is Saturday a wash out with wind and 6-8mph on Sunday
WindGuru is usually the most accurate for here, but XCweather is pretty much the same... There are only a few different models avaiable
and all of the sites use one or the other.
Both WindGuru and XCweather are showing the same for the weekend. Windy on Sat, not so windy on Sunday.
Col... Ivor doesn't tend to work too well at this time of year as there isn't a suitable temperature gradient between the land and the
sea yet.
