Yes its true, I was picked up by Holyhead lifeboat friday evening!
I was up in Anglesea training with a mate in a 10 metre rib.
We had a night passage planned, and left Holyhead for South Stack, it was a beautiful evening. The sun was just starting to go down as
we turned and started to head for our second waypoint on route to " The Skerries".
We were approx half a mile west of South Stack when suddenly the boat just stopped. I thought Paul was having a laugh! But it was soon
clear it was some sort of electrical problem. We tried the spare battery with the jump leads, but still no good.
We had no choice, but to put out a "Pan Pan" call and gave out position etc. Holyhead coastguard responded and despatched the
Lifeboat.
It was a bit of a surprise when the "Severn Class" offshore boat turned up about half an hour later.
The guys were superb, and towed us safely back to Holyhead.
A very exciting evening with a great ride back in an awesome boat!

Not good dunk could have been nasty, having said that, virtually worth the stress to have a ride in the severn class, what a beat!
Glad your safe anyway!
