mNeil - 5-6-2007 at 12:17

looks like it will be the estuary for the weekend then; light easterly predicted so Ivor had better be on his best behaviour as my new 9 mtr yarga arrived this morning oh and its Leonardos birthday too.

Hi Neil....
Ivor was upt to his tricks this morning with the wind peaking at around 25 knots for a while, but there wasn't much water this morning and the wind was only short lived, so you never know he could deliver at the weekend.. Sunday looks most likely at the mo.

The wind has now swung around to the NW and we're getting a bit of a seabreeze here now.

Neil,
I am in wales for a long weekend from friday.
If you and the posse are at Borth for the weekend then we may well drive down to you for saturday night to catch that sunday wind you have promised.

Mark

hi Mark found lots of those generators of yours on ebay but cannot find anyone to gas convert it; i even emailed china and they say no! looks like i will have to hang around till i find a honday cheap on ebay.
see you sunday and fingers crossed!!! i got out on sundaymorning on the 16.4 airblast before the wind switched off.

you may well do just to get one and carry the petrol around in a can like i do.
its not too much hassle and you could just carry an empty can and fill it when you need it rather than have the fuel sloshing around.

Ivor came out to play again this morning... 25 knots for a couple of hours again.. lets hope he hangs around for the weekend when there should at least be a bit of water in the estuary first thing... There wasn't enough today.

NW sea breeze is filling in again now here.

Unfortunately Ivor hasn't put in an appearance over the last couple of days (its been too warm by night)....

Things aren't looking great for the weekend.

Grrrrrrrr it really makes me sick. I am now looking for the possibility of a Sea Breeze on Saturday afternoon.

Wishfull thinking by the sounds of it.

justal - 9-6-2007 at 07:34

It isn't looking too good wind wise is it... There should be a sea breeze this afternoon, but I'd be surprised if there will be enough for windsurfing... Maybe around 15-16 knots for while.

Looks like a perfect weekend for accumulating some Brownie Points.

DUDES - Thanks all for making my Birthday top notch on Sat/sun..thanks for the presents and the barbie at yours Chris was one of the funniest evenings in a long time! Skimboard session on Sunday in boardies only was ridiculously excellent, man I am so sunburnt all over it feels like i've just flown back in from the MED..

Until next time!

good to hear you had a good time Leo; great to see you on the water even if it was on a big kite........................they aint so bad after all!!!!!
great weekend...sea breeze saturday and sunday.the Dudes were out on the BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG kites rocking.

Loxley - 11-6-2007 at 09:00

Well I had 3 days in the bay around Abersoch and Pwllheli, blasting around in the boat with the wakeboard and generally getting some serious sun. We couldnt have done any better if we had been in the med.

Mind, you have been really put off a jet ski now after seeing the total knobs thrashing around all weekend. One of them decided to beach his ski, then turned it around, opened the throttle and sucked in half a ton of gravel !! Killer.

Hey Neil, what do you think of my eye popping avatar ? are my dancing bunnies a match for your snowboarding racoon ?

mNeil - 11-6-2007 at 11:45

rather gooooooooooooooooooooooooood avatar Mark.
shame you didnt make it over last weekend was great and would have made a far smaller carbon footprint ................

Loxley - 11-6-2007 at 13:18

glad you likey likey.

well, i agree i did use up £60 worth of unleaded, but in my defence i have not been using the aircon in my car for the past 2 months in an effort to boost my fuel economy ( even though the company pays for it ! ). so i have salved my green conscience enough to allow me to play on the water in my new toy.

that said, i would welcome a decent enough blast of wind to get the kites out of the bag again.
