Off to V-Festival to rolll around in the mud !!!

Oh ..... and listen to some music

darren byrne - 17-8-2006 at 15:50

And don't forget you are going to help block all the roads between where I live and Borth with all the other V- Fest crowd!!

shem - 17-8-2006 at 21:25

Hhm,mm, wind looking maybe o.k. for sunday on xc, windguru. Any one got any thoughts on the forcast??? I hate boarder line wind, it sucks!!!!!!!!! To scared to make other plans incase the winds good!!!!

darren byrne - 18-8-2006 at 08:03

Shem - How do you think us Midlanders feel? Do you risk the 5 hour round trip or not!!! Oh hang on, forecast is looking better for Saturday!!!!!!

Pluto - 18-8-2006 at 11:43

Mmm Shem, to teach or not to teach - That is the question!!

danh - 18-8-2006 at 13:15

Do you reckon its gonna be worth a gamble, forecast seems to be constantly changing. xc are forecasting a good few hours of wind on sunday, the bbc and the met office are forecasting a whole weekend of decent wind.
Im sure it'll change again in the next few hours.

thrape - 18-8-2006 at 14:33

i think im going to leave it till next wk end, so there's sure to be wind now so all that go have a good one..

darren byrne - 18-8-2006 at 16:35

Forecast is looking useable now for Sat and Sun. Where is everybody???????

shem - 18-8-2006 at 16:38

Hhmmm, still not sure, Quite right pluto my friend, to teach or not to teach????

shem - 18-8-2006 at 16:42

Hhmmm, latest up dates show, heavy rain on bbc1 weather. Not nice. max wind on windguru is 10 knots, bbc1 showing 17 mph, allowing for heavy rain, big holes in the wind, yuk. Cancel teaching for saturday, and then x fingers it drys up in the avo and go playing!!!!! Sorted, leaving me plenty of time to get super drunk tonight!!!!! Aaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!

Jonny - 18-8-2006 at 18:24

Sounds a good plan Shem. Thats exactly what im doing. Off to the pub now to get super drunk and then go for a kitesurf or windsurfing session tomorrow afternoon if theres wind. Still really undecided if there will be any wind as were near the centre of that Low

justal - 18-8-2006 at 22:01

Just ame back from the pub and the wind is picking up out there.... 16-20 knots at the mo.

Al.

justal - 19-8-2006 at 07:34

WINDY OUT THERE AT THE MO...... currently 20 knots, gusting to 26!

Shame I'm unable to get out to play today... The joys of being a Dad.

Al.

shem - 19-8-2006 at 09:24

shem - 19-8-2006 at 15:41

Aahhh a fun 3 hours on me sonic, had a go on a 9 meter Nova2 as well, pretty much a absolute sonic copy, but the person that I swapped it with didnt wanrt to give my sonic back!!

justal - 19-8-2006 at 18:45

Grrr.... I spent most of the day wandering around pushing Morgan in his buggy getting soaking wet!....

Oh well, there could be wind tomorrow as well yet so this weekend might not bea complete washout for me.

Al.

kelvin - 19-8-2006 at 20:10

shem - 20-8-2006 at 18:37

well considering the crap forcast, it turned out to be a epic weekend, I had 2 whole days on the beach and the wind was constant!!!!

cjb365 - 20-8-2006 at 19:04

whats the weather looking like for tomorrow? is there going to be anyone around on the Aberdyfi side . Is it worth poping down for the day. Since the weather forecasts seem to have been wrong for the weekend i'd rather take your advice

thanks
Charles

justal - 20-8-2006 at 19:25

I'll be around on the Borth side.... There wasn't quite enough wind for me today (not for my small kit anyway) so I'm dying to get out.

Al.

danh - 20-8-2006 at 20:01

sounds about right shem. thatll be because i decided to stay at home. fingers crossed for the bank holiday weekend. il be over saturday

dunk - 21-8-2006 at 11:12

Yeah top weekend Shem even though the forecast was crap, Sailed over the Borth side, not so far to walk in the rain ; )

Fart Boy - 21-8-2006 at 16:45

Well I was down south and lost my key to the roof box where all my gear was, with perfect wind for two days just rubbing it in.

Who's in Dyfi for the bank holiday then. Mind you the wind looks pants at the mo.

dunk - 21-8-2006 at 17:26

I'm at a wedding on Saturday, but I'll be in Dovey from Sunday for the following week.

danh - 21-8-2006 at 17:38

Oh mark, how did you manage that what a bugger. Im gonna make the trip over on saturday. The forecast was pants for the weekend just gone but judging from this thread it was far from pants.. So im hoping for more of the same

Let's hope I can cash in my brownie points soon. Sounds like I missed a good one.

Bank holiday, wind or no wind....? Anyone fancy doing some research on the history of wind on national holidays?
