I'm working on a new Channel 4 show called Men In White which aims to solve all of your everyday problems and improve your life using our crack team of scientists and engineers.

We've already invented a silent hairdryer for use backstage in the theatre and an un-clampable, un-ticketable car for use in central london. We would now like to turn our attentions to making life easier for some surfers. Whether it's related to your surfing or your everyday life, we'd love to help you out!

Hi guys,

I've received a suggestion, I wonder what you make of it?

To save the amount of time getting cold in the water and the energy used getting yourself and your board out into the water, what about a kind of 'surf' lift??

Based on a ski lift, it would be a kind of overhead pulley system taking you from a point on the beach to a point in the sea behind the line where the waves are breaking.

Ignore the logistical problems, that's for us to deal with!! But if something like that existed would you want to use it, or is half the fun paddling yourself out there in the first place?!

How about making us a artificial reef, so that whenever we get any swell it'll be perfect waves instead of crumbly, close out waves??

a machine thats stops the misses moaning that i'm going surfing again...ive tried a gag but it doesn't last long enough
