Hello All,
The forecast looks great for tomorrow ... warm and windy so I've booked a day off to get a long overdue 1st sail of the year in! Is
anyone else likely to be out at Ynyslas around 11-ish?
I'm spending the weekend in Snowdonia so if nobody's around I might just go straight there rather than Borth - can anyone recommend a
safe spot in an easterly ... I'd probably get up there around 12, an hour or so after high tide. Dinas Dinlle looks possible but I'd
also considered Bala lake ...does that work well in an easterly?
Cheers
Nick
Nick if you want to live a bit longer stay away form Bala,if you are kitesurfing that is. the lake works best on SW anyway as it rips
down the length of the lake.boy is it cold!!
the estuary at ynyslas is ok but can get well gusty.
there is llygwy ( if i could spell it) on the east coast of angelsey just around from molfre, a great place.
if you chossed the estuary ,no doubt Chris will be out there with his kites and a few of us will be up saturday.
hope this helps and have a good one.
Yeah I was looking at that Nick.
Its looking very good for tomorrow in the estuary. Could be a classic morning. I've been out there on my own a few times but I would
expect one or two people to be about at this time of year.
Unfortunatley I can't get a day off. But For an easterly I would strongly recommend staying with the estuary especially as they are
neap tides.
Bala will probably be rubbish in an easterly its gusty enough in its favoured SWly.
will be about tomorrow morning. mark is also about. Al should be back from his hol's so could make a suprise apperance. fun today in the gusty sunshine. see you all at the weekend.
was thinking off popping over friday eve for a sesh but low water is around 6 - tho being a neap tide maybe okay, will there be enough water? cheers
thanks chaps ..... Ynyslas it is then ... I'll be the one falling off his board a lot!
Cheers
Nick
Hey,
Guess what...
I realised it was the Spring Gardening Show opposite work at the Three Counties Show Ground, so there's no way I'm going to work
tomoz...
So see ya there, nice an early ;-)
Now can we book wind for June 17 when I take another day off for the main Three Counties Show...
i'll be about hopefully!
tim, i had a look at low tide and it is possible. one guy was out learning. not masses of water but a channel to buzz around back and forth. at least when its low its lovely and flat
Ill be about, x fingers for sunny sailing weather again!!!! Probably cross from aberdyfi 10ish.
Cheers for that Chris, hope to get up. some stuff to sort out here but fingers crossed.
Then next week I'll be in fairbourne with the kids all week, so will be getting up for some earlies on fairbourne beach!
just been out in very gusty 25-35 knots. not very nice hope it calms down later. may be the same tomorrow.
Me too, I'm coming up for an evening sesh, be there about 530
too gusty. looks like even the east coast is gusty.
will have a look tomorrow mid day.
certainly was gustymungous, I was getting readings from 16 to 34 knts on the wind gauge- so I reckon if I could've switched kites from a 15 to an 11 to a 9 and maybe a 7 whilst on the water, i'd have been havin fun! - or maybe if the hellfish has a super wind range hmmmmm.??

Had a great session maxed out on my 5.0m and wave board in the estuary. It was a bit gusty though, a day for windsurfing not kiting.
A few out windsurfing from aberdovey as well but I didn't venture over that side.
i didn't see many wind surfers out in the afternoon. was enjoying the gusts on the flat water.
Was that you playing in the main channel, around lunch time / early afternoon chris?
There were 3 of us out from Ynyslas side and I could see a few out from Aberdovey in the distance.
Looked like you were having a good session ;-)
