OK Thats Enough Now

I wish the wind would just stop blowing for a day or two... 11 days in a row on the water so far (2 sessions a day lots of the time), and its still 30+ knots out there this morning! I should really get out there again this morning, but everything hurts and I just can't face it.

Is this a sign of old age!

Tell me about it, Ive done all myt lessons on a 1.5 bullet and a ozone imp this week!!

Itd be nice to get a 12 knots and sunny sesh in with big kites for a change. Maybe tommorow, before it gets windy for the weekend again.

Just a nice steady 20-25 knots would be nice!... At least that makes for some comfortale sailing conditions, rather than being overpowered on my 3.4m sail like yesterday... And today seemes even windier....

Might force myself to go out this afternoon though!

And still there is no let up. Thats 17 days in a row when we have had at least 20 knots of wind, most days much more than that. Looks like it will continue until Thursday as well. Friday may well at last give us a break, but they have got some pretty strong winds forecast for Friday evening into Saturday!... Even my toes ache now for some reason.

Sweet, day off and it looks like 7 meter weather for me, again.

Well, there appears to be no let up and I'm now getting used to it. The muscles have stopped hurting now (think I've made it through 'the wall'), but a few joints (ankles and wrists) are now beginning to feel the strain!... Today was a much mellower affair anyway, relatively light winds while I was out so I got to use my 5m and biggest (90 ltr) board and with the waves only head high it was quite relaxing out there really. Timed it right though as the wind filled in again soon after I got off the ater and is once again blowing a hoooooooooolie out there now!

Might have to sneak in a pre-work session in the morning... Go on Shem meet me on the beach at first light!

Yep, the last few weeks have been the windiest I can remember here, we haven't had a single day without winds over 20 knots, and most days its been much more.

How was Sardinia?

It's been the same for us pond life in the Midlands. I am looking to get a lunchtime session in every day this week - that would definitely be a first. It does look like biking for the weekend though, but that's good too.

i am very much looking forward to sunday, almost westerly 13-15kts... sounds like a wind i'll be able handle comfortably. nearly sh*t myself today launching the peel directly downwind in 25kts!!!

thankfully my arms have now settled back into their sockets.

Well, the wind has finally stopped blowing today, theres just a light NW out there at the moment. This month has to have been one of the windiest on record. 20 consecutive days with 20 knots or more.... Fantastic!. I'll be glad of the rest now, but no doubt by tomorrow I'll be dying for more wind.

It didn't last long, the wind filled in during the day allowing me to go kitesurfing this afternoon. Only about 15 knots though which felt like nothing after the past 3 weeks of gales!
