Going to be spending a few days in these two lovely places and wondered where were the best places for some windsurfing and a parking up a camper van overnight. the map on this site is good bit not very helpful if you don't recognise the names of anywhere.
Officially you're probably not allowed to just park-up overnight anywhere... Although I always do.
There are loads of places good for windsurfing, but it depends what sort of level windsurfer you are really. In Pembrokeshire, Newgale
is good and theres plenty of places you can park up out of the way with no one seeing you!. Broad Haven just down the road from Newgale
is a good windsurfing spot too, and Dale isn't too far away if you aren't up to sailing in waves.
The Gower is always good as there are a whole load of beaches within close proximity so that you can choose your location according to
the conditions... Again, just drive inland a little way and park up in a layby somewhere. Llangenith, Horton, and Oxwich are the main
windsurfing beaches on the Gower.

thanks for that. We are beginer / int. Not done much wave sailing and just cracking water starting but confident with footstraps and harnesses. we are sailing from Pembroke to Rosslare but though we would try a few days in Wales on route.
In that case, Dale would probably be your best bet. Nice sheltered flat water, plenty of other people around and even rescue boat
cover.... Although officially only for the people using the sailing centre there.
Either that or Oxwich on the Gower.
Hope you get some good sessions, both there and in Ireland.
