surf not wind
shem - 16-2-2004 at 11:15

After months of endless wind, how wierd is it having a still period. Luckily being a surfer as well, theres been plenty to do, as weve had the best surf of the last 6 months, ( which is nice).

Having had numerous surfs however I do fancy getting back out on the kite, so if poss some more wind please.

You're right Shem... it seems like ages since I've been out with a kite, but the surf has been good.. This morning was really nice. A bit frosty, especially getting into my boots which had been outside all night, but the waves were really nice...

I had them all to myself as well..

Full details in the Diaries as usual.

Mind you Shem, there were a few people out with kites at Ynysals yesterday. mainly big foils, but they seemed to be having fun.

I'm sure a few people managed to get out over the weekend.. I did think about going for a fly myself, but was to knackered after my surf.

Looks as though there might be some wind for the weekend though. Easterlies though, and cold with it.

where would easterly be good around here? is the estuary ok?

The estuary is perfect in an easterly Miguel. Take a look at the forecasts on the home page, there could be some wind in the estuary from Thursday onwards. Unfortunately High tides won't coincide with daylight very well and as we are coming up towards Springs then high tides will be better.

Typical hey.... Although we should be able to kite-surf in the channel once the tide is coming in.
