Bit of a wierd one this, but should be a laugh. The yearly chariot races are begining in Pennal,(near Aberdyfi), again. basically, a team of 4 people, 1 inside and 3 pulling race in home made chariots, Race for a distance of about 1-1.5 miles. loads of teams normally turn up, theres a small prize and a bbq afterwards, and its all a bit of fun. As its a full on force of nature game, I thought Id mention it here. Any one interested get in touch with me and I can get you more info, or pass you on to the people organising it.
Shem...When are they happening.
Have you got a team together or are you looking for someone to join you.... I'll give it a whirl if you need team members. I'm sure I
could get Harvey in on it too.
Al.
Ive actually got about 2 teams, its just a case of deciding how to split them, I thouhght id go with the strongest, ey!!!! I think part of the fun is actually designing and making your own chariot, should be a challenge. I was thinking full carbon fibre and alu, not!!
You've gotta go with the strongest.. It may be a bit of fun... but WINNING is what counts!!!
We used to do a simialr thing in Combe Martin, N. Devon, except the 2 mile course was uphill all the way and had about 8 pubs on it,
all of which you HAD to stop in and have a pint.... Made the last part of the course pretty intresting as by then EVERYBODY wanted to
be in the chariot!!

The last half mile of this course is a full on up hill......with a pub and outdoor pool at the top. nice!!
