well hello fellow site users ,and i need to start by sayin what a great site :)
i am 25 ,from the south west and my choise of wave craft is a bodyboard , i have been bodyboarding for over 7 years , and even though i have tryed surfin, i found that bodyboarding was the way forward ,i live slap bang in the middle of cornwall ,with both coast about a 20 min drive away which is great, for me but not for my girlfriend who now surfs to because she has givin in to me wakin her up at god knows what time in the morning and levin her to go for a surf , my favourite breaks are porthleven ,praa sands ,and a couple more spots which if i disclosed there location i would be very unpoular on the south coast, and on the north coast ,watergate bay morgan porth (that place rocks on a 3 ft swell mid tide one of the best wedges around ) and not forgetting that non secret spot ,spot m , which is far to crowed and far to aggro well that my opinion ,well thats a little about me .stay stoked

to the admin ..any chance of a bodyboard forum...?

OK Wez... seeing as you aren't the first to ask, I'll add a bodyboard forum in the next couple of days.

I just hope you all use it!!!

Its done Wez.... We look forward to hearing all the news from the SW.

I used to frequent Devon and Cornwall quite a bit myself. I lived in Croyde for a couple of years, lifeguarding on the beaches there, and then spent quite a bit of time living out of the back of a van around N. Cornwall.

Sounds like you're in an ideal place there... and you've managed to convince the girlf to get in the water too... I'm still working on that bit, but then again its nice to have someone at home / in the van to make you a nice warm cup of tea when you get out of the water, so I'm not that bothered.

Hi, I lived in cornwall for 4 years as well, deffinetly a lot more consistent than here. Itd be good to get a few stories posted on here from cornwall, to let us know what surf were missing out on.

Maybe we'll have to have a Cornish Forces-of-Nature Meet later in the year as well??

AAAArrgh my computer is really going up the wall today...
thats the second time its posted without a message!!!

Anyway.... Hello Wez...

Its great to see another Body boarder on the site! I love it!
It always annoys me when people say.."oh so you don't REALLY surf, do you?" When all they think about when they hear the words body board is a £5 float and a little bit of white water on their summer holiday!
I'll get off my soap box now....

I look forward to reading your Diary entries and keeping the body boarding dream alive!

lol your right about the warm cups of cup of tea justal its a little bit cold at the mo

bodyboarders are starting to get more respect down here in the south west with lads pulling bigger moves and pulling in to deeper pits , but if you show other people respect and say hello and dont drop in ,people will respect you back .hopefully i will get my arse into gear and get some pics posted ( not very good at working out how to do this, might need help )

hopefuly i might be able to get some in side info on news and goss ,on comps ,where the uk pros are travelin too . check i will post on the "NEW BODYBOARDING FORUM" as soon as i have some info
