Hi All,
i need a new winter suit. Seen Pryde NPX 4000 semi-dry, for good price. Anyone use one, or anything similar they can recommend? The Irish sea is getting cold for Kite surfing!
thanks

It depends what you want to use it for?? Surfing, or windsurfing? the fact that you're looking at the Pryde I'll assume windsurfing.

The Wetsuit Outlet has a Gul Charge with dry zip for £114.99 which is a good price for a semi-drysuit. Although I personally have never got on with Gul suits.

Se if you can find one of the Sola semi-dry suits at a decent price somewhere, loads of people use those (including me) and they are perfecly warm enough. The bees knees in winter suits is the Spartan range, although they aren't cheap.

As far as I know the Pryde NPX 4000 is inly a 4/3mm suit. The others listed above are 6/5/mm and much warmer. If the pryde is only 4/3mm then it won't be warm enough, so don't go for it however cheap it is... Retail for the NPX 4000 is £140. I've just seen on on ebay (brand new) for £40.

there is only one suit on the market currently that is worth buying, the ripcurl ultimate elasto. in 30 years of wetsuits i have never worn a 5/3 that is as flexible as a summer suit. 239quid it will cost you, but for the performance you get its a small price to pay. i'm on my second one, would'nt consider anything else (first one is for sale if anyone's interested).
